Anne Chardonnens, Belgium, Erasmus student at the Journalism Department from October 2011 to January 2012
My Erasmus experience in Romania was full of surprises, but all in all it was a really good experience. I was happy to discover a whole different country; the other students from my school also went with Erasmus to countries like Spain and Italy, and I believe Romania was the most different of all choices. It was what I was looking for.
What I mostly miss about Romania is living surrounded by a lot of people, like I did in Hasdeu. At first I was afraid of that, because I am not used, for example, to have a kitchen to share with forty people, but in the end it turned out to be really good, because every time you wanted to speak with someone you could go and just meet new people and talk to them. It was all like a big family, it was really cool.
